Under the RCEP item, Indonesia, based on the China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone, adds zero tariffs to my country ’s more than 700 tax number products, including some car parts, motorcycles, television, clothing shoes, boots, plastic products, etc. Among them, some automobile parts, motorcycles, and some clothing products will immediately realize zero tariffs from January 2, and other products will gradually fall to zero tariffs within a certain transition period.
On the basis of China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement, my country will also open taxes on Indonesia's pineapple juice and canned, coconut juice, pepper, diesel, paper products, some chemicals and automotive components to further open the market.
Starting on January 2nd, in accordance with the promise of the RCEP agreement, Indonesia implements a zero tariff immediately for products native to 65.1%of products in China. China will also implement immediately zero tariffs on products native to 67.9%of Indonesia.
RCEP fails to invalidate Indonesia and will continue to promote Indonesia to deepen economic and trade and investment relationships, and further strengthen existing cooperation.
