What is the ATA Convention?

The ATA Convention is a system formulated to facilitate the implementation of the temporary duty -free import of goods, and the customs system of the contracting countries is highly coordinated and consistent. As a guarantee unit "ATA/IBCC Guarantee Serial System", various temporary import and export procedures are simplified in order to provide the maximum convenience for temporary import.
The main content of the ATA Convention is:
1. The ATA documents system, in the scope of the ATA Convention, implement the prerequisite for the ATA document volume.
2. The content of the ATA declaration document is composed of a document book.
3. Format of the ATA document book.
Precautions for using documents. "ATA Document Book" is an international customs document for temporary tax -free imports of goods. It is an international general declaration document related to the transit of cargo in one country or region or temporary tax -free import. The parties to each party shall accept a certificate of accurate import declaration forms that are valid in the country and issued and used in accordance with the requirements of the Convention. All or part of the goods issued by the ATA customs declaration document shall be allowed to be exempted from import tax and exempt any prohibition or restriction of imports. Corresponding convenience should be given when exporting.
