On November 15, 2020, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand signed the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP). Once RCEP is reached, it will establish a unified market by cutting tariffs and non -tariff barriers of member states, becoming a regional free trade agreement covering a large population and potential in the world.
Economic and trade exchanges
In the trade between China and ASEAN, China has a high proportion of trade with Vietnam.
China and Vietnam are also important manufacturing bases in the world. They have strong complementary complementarity in the supply chain. The two parties maintain continuous cooperation in Hong Kong logistics. It has long maintained a good momentum for a long time.
From January to September 2020, in terms of trade between China and ASEAN countries, in terms of trade volume, Vietnam ranked first; in terms of trade growth, China and Vietnam's trade volume increased by 15.5%year -on -year. After the signing of RCEP, both China and Vietnam have become one of this oversized economic circle. More than 90%of tax -based products will impose zero tariffs, which may increase to 95%of taxparts in the future.
For Vietnam, RCEP will expand the market for Vietnam, increase export efforts, participate in the new value chain in the region, and increase investment in investment. In the future, China and Vietnam will have a lot of room for cooperation under the RCEP framework. Both parties will have more and more pragmatic cooperation plans to be discussed in depth.
